Newtown Union Health Service is a not-for-profit community health service providing affordable and accessible health care for those on low incomes in the Southern and Eastern suburbs of Wellington.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has a passion for primary care and an interest in expanding/continuing their nursing knowledge and experience within the Primary Health Care sector. This is a fixed term position from the beginning of August 2025 to the end of January 2026, a period of six months.  You will be joining a team of vibrant, passionate people who work collectively to improve health outcomes for the people for whom we provide care at the NUHS Broadway clinic.

You will need the following:

• A current NZNC practicing certificate
• A natural passion to build relationship with patients from diverse communities
• A drive to want to help people
• Intellectual curiosity
• A can-do attitude
• Provide solutions to the challenges and change of primary health care
• Experience preferred – orientation to the service and the role will be provided

You will be well supported by a passionate team of professionals, professional supervision and training and development opportunities.  Only applicants with NZ Citizenship, Residency, or a valid work permit to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
